PLC, SCADA and HMI Automation Software
PLC programming, SCADA and HMI software on Siemens, ABB, Delta and CODESYS platforms — optimising and monitoring production processes in real time.
Automation software is the layer that decides how a production line behaves. Contech carries out PLC programming, SCADA visualisation and HMI interface development entirely with its own engineering team. The software is written around the real behaviour of the equipment on site: the sensor and actuator list, the safety requirements and the way operators actually run the line are all reviewed together at the start of the project. We work on Siemens, ABB, Delta and CODESYS platforms and apply the IEC 61131-3 languages — LD, FBD, ST, SFC and IL — wherever each one fits the application best.
Software is never written in isolation on an automation project; it advances together with hardware selection, panel design and field wiring. Because Contech carries out all three under one roof, the classic mismatch between the program and the actual installation does not arise. The program is structured modularly: every machine or process unit has its own function block, so a change in one section of the line does not disturb the others and faults stay isolated during commissioning. LD and FBD are used for process and machine control, where intuitive, modular programming matters most; ST takes over where complex calculation, recipe management and advanced logic are required. For critical operations that run step by step, SFC establishes a clear workflow, keeping the current state of the line readable for operators and maintenance staff alike. At the SCADA layer, production data is collected, alarms are classified and everything is made reportable. Output per shift, downtime duration and downtime causes are recorded; this data makes the real efficiency of the line visible and puts improvement decisions on measurement rather than assumption. Integration between the PLC, the HMI and SCADA is built to deliver genuine real-time visibility. After commissioning, program documentation, the I/O list and backup project files are handed over to the customer — the software is an asset of the plant, not a black box that locks it to one supplier.
- PLC programming on Siemens (TIA Portal), ABB, Delta and CODESYS platforms.
- IEC 61131-3 languages — LD, FBD, ST, SFC and IL — each chosen to fit the application.
- Modular program structure: every machine in its own function block, changes stay isolated.
- SCADA recording of output counts, downtime duration and downtime causes.
- Alarm classification and reporting, with critical events managed separately from notices.
- Integration across PLC, HMI and SCADA that delivers genuine real-time visibility.
- Handover of program documentation, I/O list and backup project files to the customer.
- Process control on plastic extrusion and granulation lines
- Line automation in recycling and washing plants
- Recipe management for dosing and mixing systems
- Central control in crushing, screening and beneficiation plants
- Synchronised machine control on packaging and filling lines

Which PLC brands do you work with?
We actively develop on Siemens (TIA Portal), ABB, Delta and CODESYS-based controllers. If your existing plant runs a different brand, we assess working on that platform rather than replacing the hardware.
The software on our line belongs to another company — can you take it over?
We can take it over where the program files and documentation are accessible. Without access, the program has to be rewritten from a site survey and I/O extraction; in that case scope and duration are agreed in advance.
Do we keep the source files of the software?
Yes. After commissioning, program documentation, the I/O list and backup project files are handed over to the plant. We do not deliver closed software that ties you to a single supplier.
What data can we follow through SCADA?
Output per shift, downtime duration and causes, energy consumption, alarm history and process variables are monitored as standard. The exact data set is agreed together at the start of the project.
