Electrical work at an industrial facility is not purely a technical matter; energy permits, design approval and acceptance processes belong to the same schedule. A run installed before approval can be rejected at acceptance and have to be redone. Contech runs the process end to end, from preparing electrical projects through submission to the relevant authorities and on to managing contracting works on site.

The process begins by setting the project scope against the facility’s needs. Load schedules, single-line diagrams, earthing designs and the required calculation reports are prepared, arranged in the format the relevant authority expects. Where an energy permit is needed, correspondence with the distribution company is handled, revision requests are answered and the approval process is followed through. For contracting work on site, the programme, material supply and crew planning are managed together. On the safety side, required permits, work plans and site rules are applied, with live working handled under a separate procedure. Once work is complete, as-built drawings are updated — every change made on site is recorded, so the file the plant holds matches reality. Measurement and test reports for acceptance are prepared and the file is handed over.
